Contraceptive oral

The contraceptive oral ones constitute a highly sure method to avoid to remain a pregnant woman. It is known that, well secondhand, the contraceptive oral ones rub 100 % of prevention of not wished pregnancies.

The method consists of the daily ingestion in general of a pill for every day of the menstrual cycle. A - Pills of ultra low dose

The new birth-control pills stretch to contain a minor quantity of estrogen (15 micrograms of etinilestradiol) and a progesterone, with the target to diminish the proper adverse effects of the hormones. And in spite of this, they have the same efficacy of the conventional birth-control pills.

They come in packings that contain 28 tablets: 24 active tablets with hormones, and 4 inactive ones, which are of different color. This way, it must take every day a tablet, without interruption. The fact of having so low doses, can provoke bled ínter menstrual, or, out of the menstruation.

B - Pills with drospirenona

There are birth-control pills that contain an estrogen accompanied by a new category of progesterone: the drospirenona. The advantage of this hormone is his aptitude to diminish the retention of liquids that produce the estrogen. For this motive, it is an ideal contraceptive method for women who retain liquid, or who are hypertense. Also, the drospirenona has a function antiandrogénica with benefits on the skin, that's why it is of election preferably between women with acne or increase of hair.

It has the same efficacy as the common birth-control pills, and can be used by any woman. The packing contains 28 tablets: 21 active tablets, and inactive 7, that take in the days later to the ingestion of the hormonal ones.

C - Progesterone pills

In contrast to all the birth-control pills (that contain progesterone and estrogen), the active beginning of these tablets is only the progesterone.
They can be used by any woman, even by those who are nursing his baby.

They must be consumed every day, without rest, and offer the same protection as the tablets that contain estrogen and progesterone. They are advisable in women who are nursing, and in women who have estrogen contraindication. It is good to remember, although it should seem obvious, that the birth-control pills do not protect of the sexually transmitted diseases contagion. But in this case they present a minor grade of effectiveness than the contraceptive oral estrogen cocktails and progestágenos.

Important: Any of these pills has reversible effects, that is to say, that them, on having stopped taking, the aptitude to conceive recovers. The contraceptive oral ones, for much of what we have just said, not only are prescribed in cases to want to avoid the pregnancy. Many gynecological alterations as the ovarian poliquistosis (ovary cysts, with other symptoms as hair in the face or hirsutismo) can improve with the permanent administration of contraceptive oral. In these cases, the doctors usually indicate a few "holidays" of the contraceptive ones during a year of every 5, to prepare vascular effects.

Other hormonal disorders also usually recover with the "regularization" of the cycle by means of the contraceptive oral ones, like situations of severe acne or some endometriosis, which to improve perceptibly. They are usually much used also by the "benefit" of a major sexual freedom that the contraceptive oral ones can propitiate. It is necessary to remember that as method there is no contraceptive ideal and that they all need of the good use and of the constant precaution.
